American chef who in 2000 opened his restaurant Blue Hill in New York City. Together with his brother David Barber, he recovered his grandparents' farm, from which he currently receives the products that they serve in the restaurant of the same name, which then seeks to be a tribute to the land and sustainability. Since 2004, he has collaborated with the Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture, where he has a second establishment that works together with the centre not only in creating the menu but also in educational programmes.
